Dr. Ames went on to specialize in Internal Medicine, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2005. Her efforts to focus on treating people holistically in the community led to her gaining a further specialist GP qualification MRCGP in 2006.She has an interest in Chronic Disease especially Diabetes. In 2009 she became a Diplomatate of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists. This means that she has a special interest in Women’s health and Family Planning and fits coils and Mirenas. She has a particular interest in cancer screening, and is also available to help with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and menopausal symptoms.Four years ago she started doing Telehealth Consultations to augment her practice for her patients, for their convenience. This end to end encrypted video service has become even more important to them during the COVID 19 Pandemic. To her knowledge she is the first doctor to ever offer this service locally. With the outbreak of the Pandemic this service has been providing a Telehealth COVID service to a Bank and Food Manufacturing Company. For this, Ames Medical Services actually won a Biz X America award!One of her passions is empowerment of patients by education, communication and technology. With this in mind she did a regular, live, phone in program called “Medicine Made Simple” with 103.5FM and (90.5FM) hosted by Marcia Miranda for 2 years 2015-2017.

Dr. Cumberbatch is a Medical Physician with extensive experience in Primary Care Medicine and General Practice which she developed after having practiced in the public sector for over five years and privately for greater than seven years.Her career in the public sector included two years in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care followed by three years in the primary care facilities in North East Trinidad. During this time, she was responsible for community health including: child health, chronic disease management, antenatal management, general practice and geriatric care.Her time in the public sector taught her the importance of empowering patients to manage their health by their lifestyle choices and as such she focused on Preventive Medicine during her time in her private practice.  She has always been an advocate for her patients to ensure that they maintain a balanced quality of life. She has worked with corporate clients in various fields (insurance, energy sector, hospitality and banking) to develop corporate wellness programs and initiatives to promote the health and wellness of their employee population. This was very fulfilling for her as this approach proved to be very beneficial both to the clinical indicators (for chronic diseases) and mental wellbeing of her patients.Over the past few months, to assist during the COVID pandemic, she has worked with Ames Medical Services providing medical care and counseling via telemedicine to patients with a high suspicion of Covid-19.Dr Cumberbatch is very passionate about providing the best possible care to her patients through the advancement of medicine in Trinidad and Tobago. She has served on the council of the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association for 10 years where she also served as President during 2019 to 2020. Their primary focus has been providing continued medical education programs for the medical fraternity to ensure doctors are updated on recent medical advancements, as well as community service initiatives through outreach programs across Trinidad and Tobago.

Dr. Rajack completed her undergraduate MBChB at Edinburgh University in 1998.  She attained her postgraduate degrees: MRC Ophthalmology 2003 at Edinburgh 2003 and MRCGP 2009 at Oxford.  She currently works with the NWRHA as a General Practitioner with a specialist interest in Ophthalmology, involving routine General Practice and Primary Care Ophthalmology including diabetic retinopathy screening and glaucoma monitoring clinics.Dr Rajack is both an eye doctor and a specialist GP so in addition to taking care of your eyes she is also available for GP appointments on a Saturday and tele-health also on a Tuesday after 4pm.

Qualified from The London Foot Hospital in England.For the last thirty five years, I’ve been happily aiding people with their foot health problems. I also work alongside Dr Ames to ensure that diabetic patients have a more comprehensive approach to their care.

Kimberly, is a Registered Dietitian working in private practice. She graduated from McGill University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with a Major in Dietetics. She is registered with the Council for Professions Related to Medicine in Trinidad & Tobago and The Trinidad and Tobago Nutritionists and Dietitians Board. In 2012 she completed the registration exam for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (at the time known as the American Dietetic Association) and is registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration which is the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She enjoys helping people change their approach to eating by helping them to forget about ‘dieting’ and counting calories instead teaching them to meet their nutritional goals in a sustainable way so that they can achieve long term success.

Mrs. Denise Dumas-Koylass possesses postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology. She was awarded the master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and has also been trained in specialized areas such as the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma-based counselling and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.She has also volunteered with the Elpis Centre, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), since the establishment of the Centre in 2009, and is responsible for counselling clients who are struggling with Post Abortion Stress.

Nurse Teloka is a registered nurse with decades of experience working in both Trinidad and the UK.

Jocelyn, Helen and Lisa (not pictured) are your reception team. They are all trained in Medical confidentiality and Basic Life Support. Helen is fluent in Spanish and English.
